CAPTAIN BUD MILLER Captain Bud Miller, a local Destin resident and fisherman since 1969, is  a USCG licensed captain. He has been the owner and at the helm of the Melanie Dawn since 1998.  The Melanie Dawn charter boat is members of the Destin Charter Boat Association, the National Association of Charter Boat Operators, the Destin Fishing Rodeo (2008 Chairman), Northwest Florida Better Business Bureau (only boat in Destin), and the Destin Chamber of Commerce.  Bud is a member of the First Baptist Church of Destin.

First Mate JJ Quinn has been full time onboard the Melanie Dawn for eight years and two years part time. He has a lifetime of fishing knowledge from his days in Daytona and Destin. Everyone onboard will enjoy their time with this colorful character especially your children. He makes sure that the kids always catch the biggest fish.
